“Looking forward to our next trip”
Very good hotel and services. Rooms cleaned every day and mini bar prices in line with 7/11. The pool area could do with some stairs out as direct pool access room did not have any. Overall well rated.

“Great Deal!”
I wasn't expecting much for paying such a low rate per night when I booked my Thailand get away last minute... However, the Sugar Palm Resort exceeded my expectations! Not only was the room decorated clean and contemporary, but we had a television and a selection of DVD to choose from. The breakfast buffet (an small extra) is completely worth it. We had omelets and fresh fruit everyday. The tours were also easy to set up in the lobby area.

“Silom City Inn”
First thing when finding this hotel you will find it is located down a Soi and not right on the main road. I wouldn't say thats a negative since there is alot of good food to drool at when walking to the hotel. The staff was great. They upgraded my room free of charge and I stayed on the 12th floor in the deluxe suite. They also gave me free wireless internet. The room was big. My 1yr old son had a great time running around. The room is not a modern, brand new style room. It's not a crap room either. I view from the balcony was amazing. They offer massage services in your room and downstairs at the Massage parlor. Prices are competitive with what you will find outside. The price of the hotel was great. I'm a Thai-American so per night stay was rather cheap compared to Chicago. The breakfast buffet in the morning was just fine too. You don't want to eat too much since there is so much great food to try in Bangkok. The lobby is a bit small, but it's not like you spend much time there. You can tell the doorman and he will hail a taxi for you and tell them where you need to go. All in all I had a pleasant experience and would definitely stay here again. Great price, service, and location right in the heart of Bangkok. Wish it could of been closer to the BTS or MRT stations.
“Will Return!”
Great location, can get to the beach in 5 minutes! It's not a big "Hilton" style hotel but your not spending huge amounts of money either! Very safe and great breakfast that held me till dinner. Great resturants within a short walk. Wireless worked great except for the one day it was down and they didnt no why. Sugar had driver waiting for me at the airport for pickup and to take me back.(about 1.5 hrs away fro 900 Bhat= 30 us dollars). All4One diving in Paytoong was a great dive shop to set up dives..did 3 tank trip to Phi Phi Island (2hr boat ride) with lunch and Brkfst for 140 us dollars! For the money you cant go wrong...Also purchased tailored Armni suit and 2 tailored shirts with tie for a little over 200 dollars from Bosses tailors down the street from hotel! great massage places as well! and cheap!
“I would stay there again if ....”
We stayed in a "superior" room. It had a nice view of the hotel at the rear including its pool. The Sugar Palm Karon is a good all round 3 star hotel. However 2 things were lacking. Apart from a single upright chair, there was no other seating in the room. Also, I was not able to use the pool as it did not have a ladder and ladder handrail. Having a bad back, I need these in order to enter and exit a pool.

“Has everything we needed at a good price”
A good location within reach of all the popular areas. Traffic can be a bit of a problem though if you are travelling to/from here at peak times. Just far enough away from the busy Patong area but still had everything you needed within a short distance. We hired a bike for a day(for 250 baht) and found we could get anywhere easily. Hotel breakfasy was excellent but there was only a makeshift bar. Didn't really affect us as we didn't travel all that way to sit in the hotel bar. Didn't see any of the seedy side of Thailand but maybe that's because we weren't looking for it. Approx. 250 yards from the beach, which wasn't crowded. If we had to go back to the area would certainly use this hotel, but we don't go back to the same place. Too many other places to see
“Location Location Location”
Good hotel ticks all the boxes, not 5 star but a great place to stay. Cost of hotel is very cheap when you consider everything. Close to all amenities, some reveiws here are very misleading, give this place a go and you will not be disappointed.
