Due to its location right on a very busy street, it was almost impossible to find an area to park and offload our luggage for check in. Had to park illegally for about 20 minutes (after circling around for 20 minutes) just to drop our stuff off and check in. Actual parking garage I used was a 10 minute walk away. "**Review:** We had an amazing stay at this hotel with Laura as our wonderful host. The location was perfectly situated in New Town, with everything comfortably close and within walking distance. On our first day, the hosts kindly circled must-visit areas on the map, making it easy for us to explore, even with our 5-year-old. It was difficult to enter/exit the room without getting wet, especially when carrying luggage. "The hotel boasts the best location for tourists among branded hotels in Royal Mile Edinburgh. We took a three-day hiking trip to Loch Ness and came back at 6pm. The drop-off point at Lawnmarket is just 2 minutes walking from the hotel, so that we still had a lot of time in early evening to revisit the Edinburgh old town center. On the second day, we had to take an early flight back to Seattle, and the airlink stop to the airport was just 10 minutes walking from the hotel. "
