Hotel location was excellent for visiting the top Rome attractions as most of them were within walking distance of the hotel, or if preferred the Metro station was situated outside the hotel. We caught the Leonardo Express train from the airport (30 minutes) and then walked 10 minutes from Termini station to the hotel so very handy.
The building is very old and the immediate area not so pleasant but if you walk 2/3 minutes down the road it's a much nicer area. It suited us fine for price and location. Our room overlooked the park so the views were good, however the room could do with a bit of attention: curtain tie-back hooks fallen out of the wall, electric sockets loose, wardrobe door handles missing. The room and hotel were very clean and all staff we encountered were friendly. Breakfast was a choice of cereals, fruit, bread, ham, cheese and pastries and was continually replenished by the staff. On our final day we left our suitcase at reception after checking out and then collected it on the way to the airport which enabled us to enjoy our day. For a short city break this hotel served us well and we would be happy to return if visiting Rome again.
