Independent, Shizuoka hotels

"Very comfortable extra large bed. It was a bit challenging to get the air conditioning to get a steady temperature so needed to adjust frequently. The lunch buffet was just okay and overpriced. But there are LOTS of food options and a supermarket just 2 minutes away. The hotel is literally just a few minutes from the train station. Our corner room was on the opposite side from the station and was really quiet."

"Very clean and quiet location, easily walkable to downtown. Shizuoka station is approximately 15-minutes away. Lots of cafes and matcha locations in the vicinity. Room is compact but spotless. Onsen a wonderful addition after walking the whole day. Go after dinner time, less crowded."

"Would stay here again. Great place and Nice location. Within walking distance to the mt. Fuji heritage centre. Only slight criticism of the place is a lack of elevators for travellers carrying a bit extra and the temperature at the top level was a bit too warm for my liking"

"Clean and cmfortable rooms, bathroom and showers close by. Mats were thick enough to be comfortable, while still giving an authentic Japanese experience. Not much in the immediate area, but great park and restaurants were a 15 to 30 minute walk. Desk person seemed a bit brisk, but not rude."
