“Good, basic hotel”

The hotel is within walking distance to the train station, which is a plus. It was very easy to set up tours and a short ride to tour Pompeii. Hotel staff was accommodating. Bed was very hard but the room was medium size, quiet, had lots of hot water for showers, clean and a good value for a basic hotel in Sorrento. I would recommend this hotel for someone wanting a good value for a basic hotel in Sorrento city center.

“Good location, price and it has a swimming pool”

* Room - we booked twin beds for 2 people. When we arrived we were given a double bed but this quickly got changed and sorted out. Both rooms we saw were of a good size. The single beds were fine, although a bit narrrow (not really a problem though). The room had 2 chairs, a luggage bag holder, wardroe, bed side table, tv, desk, mini fridge, bathroom... the usual really. It was cleaned to a good standard. It had a clean bathroom with a large shower. * Location - a few minutes walk to the Sorrento shops, bars, restaurants and port. * Price - reasonable quality for what we paid. * Hotel Extras - swimming pool, safe in room (but had to pay), small mini bar, internet (have to pay), the complimentary body wash and shampoo in one was okay for my hair (unlike other cheap shampoos), and you can book days out (to Rome, Pompeii, Capri etc.) at the hotel reception.

“Thin wall leads to serious noise and privacy problem.”

The hotel was very convenient for Sorrento centre etc and the Staff were very friendly and helpful. However be warned!Our room was in a separate annex building which was a block of flats. The room was a former appartment that had been split into at least 2 rooms by a very thin dividing wall which meant it was very noisy when the adjacent room was occupied. It was possible to hear every word of a conversation held in the neighbouring room and presumably we could be overheard which meant a lack of privacy. A pity that such a good hotel was let down by this.

“not bad, but would shop around before staying here again”

PROs -good value -good location, close market & walking distance to food, piazza's (and pizzas), harbor, and many others -clean -breakfast included -great view from the roof -English speaking staff helpful with booking tours CONs -staff always seemed annoyed if you asked anything of them and were pretty slow to do anything -extra fees for in room safe (good luck getting anything bigger than a camera in there) -extra fees for renting towels at the pool (you can't use your room towel) In summary, I would try to not stay here again for the staff attitude & the silly fees. I did enjoy the location and got some great photographs of Vesuvius from the roof, but could probably do that a number of other places.

“Disappointing hotel in Sorrento”

Bed was not good (it was the worst one I used after having slept in 7 countries in Europe over roughly 2 weeks). Furthermore, the shower was extremely small, internet was terrible. The breakfast was very substandard, nor should it be called "American" buffet, as it only had rarely refilled eggs, with no other warm foods. Furthermore, they had a late night party thing at the hotel, with loud music. I didn't really care, but having no forewarning that they were going to do this prior to getting there was kind of a put off. I think it is nice they do that, but they should warn travelers should they want quieter accommodations. Pluses did include a beautiful balcony, and a beautiful city, but certainly not enough to changed my recommendation (one of my first do not recommends.)
