“This Hotel Looks After You”
Although my basic single hotel room initially surprised me with its simplicity and bare-bones, somewhat aged look, this hotel grew on me fast. Unless you crave luxury, this hotel is affordable and confortable. My room, although blantantly simplistic, was cleaned daily and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful; I honestly felt like a part of their family. They are always willing to talk and help you on your travel plans while in Isreal. The breakfasts are well prepared, diverse, and tasty. If you want a good base of opperations from which to explore Israel, there could be no better place.
“Hotel Adiv Tel Aviv - Hospitality Job #1”
Hotel staff was extremely accommodating and hospitable; we felt at home from check-in to check-out and special efforts were made to inform guests of local holiday observances that may affect travel plans. Raviv merits special mention for superb customer service. Thank you!
“No complaints here”
Good hotel. Good breakfast. Good service. No complaints. Great area. Right next to the beach and good cafes etc.
“Great location. Rude staff.”
The location was fantastic. Very convenient. I found the staff to be rude on more than one occasion. The continental breakfasts were OK. The room was comfortable. Despite the staff, for the money, I would definitely stay there again.
“Good deal/pleasant stay”
This was my 2nd stay at the Adiv. It's very basic--the rooms are small and sparsely decorated; soap and shampoo are provided, but not hairdryers. But it's very clean, the beds are quite comfy, the Israeli breakfast (included in the reasonable rates) is tasty and plentiful, and it's in a great location--just a couple of blocks from Frishman beach and within a block or two of drugstores and food markets.
“Nice hotel, but stay away from front desk”
Hot coffee and tea available 24/7, even though they didn't tell us this at check-in. We sort of discovered it on our own. You can only have either heat or a/c on - not set up for both. It was unusually warm when we were there in December. We wre told to just open the windows - it's quiet. Well... all we heard was shouting from the apartment building next door and construction in the front. We finally were given a fan to use (which was mistakenly sent to our son's room). Manager called to explain their whole heating and a/c system to me on the phone in a very condescending manner. Nice facility, use of computer in lobby for free and excellent breakfast.
“Well Worn but Convenient”
The lobby of the Adiv Hotel is impressive, but that's where it stops. Our room was functional, but small and well worn. Even though were were a block away from the Mediterranean, our view was not of the sea, but of the side wall of the building right next door with someone's laundry hanging on the balcony to dry. The breakfast buffet was like others we had in Israel - it actually turns out to be less than meets the eye. It was OK, but undewhelming once you dug in. Our room had no teapot/coffee pot, so we had to schlep down th the breakfast room to get hot water for tea in the evening. Minor, but other hotels we stayed in seemed to have the teapot as standard. On the plus side, it was located one block from the beach and was walking distance from Dizengoff St., Ben Yahuda St. and the center of the city. It was a 15-20 minute bus ride on the #10 bus from Old Jaffa. Overall, it was tired but well-located.
“Just what I was after”
Does what it says on the tin. Close to the beach, it wasn't viewable but if you leave Adiv without a map you'll get to the beach soon enough. The hotel also seemed to be close to some of the main roads. So a couple of minutes would see you on a main road which you could follow to the livelier parts of town. Room - clean, tidy, ACd, small fridges, shower/bath combo, satellite tv and safe all as promised. Only downer was internet reception was tempremental but for important things I just went into the lobby and set up there. The breakfast buffet was interesting but no doubt is standard for Israel. i.e fish, egg, salad, cereal. It was a shock at first as I'm more used to English or Continental food but it did the job.
“Basic, clean, and convenient”
The Adiv Hotel offers basic, clean, and convenient accommodations in the heart of Tel Aviv. The room was small, but comfortable and clean. The hotel is a five minute walk from the beach and within walking distance of most of Tel Aviv's restaurants and shops. During my stay the hotel's staff was very helpful. I had to depart at 2:30 am. The staff made check-in very easy and made sure a taxi was waiting for me at that early morning hour. There is nothing glamorous about the hotel, but it offers a good choice for inexpensive and convenient lodging in Tel Aviv.
“The room was very small, but very clean. The beds were comfortable.”
Staff was usually pleasent with one exception. That particular individual must have taken " a nasty pill" before coming to work.
