“Nice place to spend one night”
When you see the other buildings in the city this hotel seems 5 star resort. Room was clean and comfortable. Every devices worked properly. Stuff was very helpful and hospitable. Eatable breakfast.
“Rest in Peace”
The Days Inn is a basic motel to spend the night at whilst travelling on I-10. It is easily found off the interstate and has ample parking. Parking is right in front of the door to your room. The front entrance is a little dilapidated, but the desk clerks have always been friendly and efficient. My reservations have always been in order. Our room was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable and clean. We did not try the continental breakfast because we left before it was served. The surrounding neighborhood is non-threating. But, be aware, the Union Pacific trains really roll through Van Horn and the motel is close (150 yards?) to the tracks - you can certainly hear the train whistles! We've stayed there before and we'll stay there again.
“Very nice for a small town”
This motel was very nice. We were treated well and the room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend it for anyone traveling through the area.

“Decent Stay...it's Van Horn.”
Van Horn is a "just passing through and need to stop somewhere" town to me. The room looked like they did some upgrades, but the craftsmanship of some parts were below par (or par with a motel). The flat screen TV was a great addition. I did wake up 2 times due to a train going through and blasting it's horn. That wasn't great. However, a lot of other motels may experience the same thing in town, except maybe those motels on the southwest side of the highway.

“Singularly underwhelmed”
The room, despite having a reservation, was sweltering upon check-in, the sink was broken, and the manager didn't seem terribly inclined to have it fixed. There was one restaurant open in the whole town; it too was shabby, indifferent and unpleasant.
“Okay for a budget motel.”
A little run down, but okay if you're on a budget.
