"Located at the station, lovely room, clean, the best breaky we’ve had in Japan, only downside was you couldn’t use the pool without paying and only at certain times of the day 7-9am for children, very inconvenient and disappointing. "

"We stayed in the garden suite. Seemed strange at first since it’s in the basement floor and you can’t get a sense of what time it is. But the garden wall grew on us and we liked the nature and the solitude. The onset was on that floor and that was such a plus we didn’t even know we’d get. Plus the coin laundry was so great to have and we love the breakfast in the morning. Most of all the location is perfect and the staff spoke English and was super helpful. "

"Really nice hotel in a great location in the modern area with many restaurants and shops but just across the river from the older area with many of the shrines and temples. Mattress was a little firm, but that seems to be the norm in Asia. "

"I had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly, the room was fantastic. The view and location was outstanding! My friends and I had many scenic photos in and around the ryokan. Also, the indoor bath was wonderful too!"

"This was a really nice little boutique hotel, and the washer/dryer, was a very nice added touch, even if it was a little rough on the clothes. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that potential guests should know is that, in our room at least, there were no blackout drapes, which meant that it got light fairly early in the morning in late May. (The window coverings that were there did provide good privacy.)"
