Overpriced for the type of hotel. Beds are not very comfy, pillows were bad, wifi in basement rooms was awful. The price they charged us (+500/night) was too much for the quality. They charged like a 5 star while being a 3 star tops.

The hotel was in a quiet corner which was peaceful, but within a block you can get to the happening part of town filled with shopping and restaurants! The staff was wonderful and polite, not reason to think, prefer place to stay.

​Our stay was absolutely phenomenal and truly elevated our entire trip to Kyoto. From its stunning design to its impeccable service, every aspect of this hotel exceeded our expectations. ​The location is, without a doubt, a 10 out of 10. Situated directly on the banks of the beautiful Kamo River, the hotel offers a tranquil escape while being just steps away from the heart of the action. We loved starting our mornings with a coffee overlooking the river. In the evenings, we could simply walk out the door and be in the middle of the vibrant Pontocho Alley for dinner, or take a short stroll across the bridge to explore the historic Gion district. The convenience is simply unmatched. ​The room was a perfect blend of modern luxury and Japanese elegance. It was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed with incredible attention to detail. ​Finally, the service was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was professional, warm, and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. ​If you are looking for a special place to stay in Kyoto that combines a prime location with a luxurious and peaceful atmosphere, this is the place to stay.

One of the best hotels ive stayed in! Clean, comfortable, beautiful, thoughtful, detailed… i loved the room we stayed in. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is great and close to all of the shopping, restaurants, and market. I really loved it here! I didnt want to leave. I would absolutely stay here again.

Very spacious rooms, well equipped, clean and modern, great location an easy walk from central Kyoto and just across the bridge from the major Sanjo station, couldn't ask for a better spot. Did find the bathroom a little cramped and the bathroom lighting a little harsh, though it makes up for that with an enormous shower/bath wetroom

I want to try other hotels in Kyoto, but I keep coming back here. I really like the well-designed rooms at Solaria Nishitetsu and the convenient location. Every staff member is very hospitable and kind, which makes the stay a nice experience. Looking forward to returning soon!
