The hotel is in a great location, walkable to the train station and surrounded by a quiet neighbourhood. It was easy to get around while still enjoying a peaceful stay. The public bath was well maintained and a great way to unwind after a day out.

The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The dining room was fantastic; both breakfast and dinner offered excellent value for money. The cocktails were delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect, especially sitting by the fireplace in the lobby, wrapped in a blanket, listening to the sound of the rain.

Peaceful & Beautiful

A beautiful hotel with very nice rooms, good service, friendly staff and an on-sight onsen that is free to use for hotel guests. A real gem this hotel, and I will forever stay here on future Kyoto trips.

Loved the sense of community staying at Sakura lounge hotel. We enjoyed the free flavored water and welcome drink every night. Located just few minutes from Kyoto station, yet once you walked in the hotel, it was totally different world; quiet, peaceful, relaxing. We enjoyed sitting on the couch by the fire sipping drinks listening live music played by local musicians. The hotel has communal hot tub, I loved it.

Great front staff. Rooms and amenities were clean. Well-placed power outlets may have made the room better, but I imagine these used to be apartments converted into a hotel. All in all, wonderful. I’d use again.

Lovely hotel in a wonderful location 2 minutes from Kyoto station. Our room was spacious and clean. We really liked the pajamas provided by the hotel. The highlight was the free use of the laundry machines and massage chairs while we waited :)
