We will meet the tourists at their accommodation and travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to the first birdwatching spot, which will be San Antonio (Central Department). There, we will be able to spot mainly shorebirds and marsh birds (typical of wetlands).
After a snack, we will head for the Asunción Botanical Garden, where we will walk along the trails to observe forest and grassland birds.
Asunción is the capital city with the greatest diversity of native bird species in the world!
We will have lunch at a restaurant in the city of Luque, then continue our journey to the Alma Tierra lodge, where we will be staying.
The lodge features a trail that showcases the transition between the Eastern Region of Paraguay and the Chaco Húmedo (Wet Chaco).
Dinner and evening outing to observe nocturnal birds and herpetofauna.
We will have an early breakfast and depart for the Aguapey Private Reserve (managed by the Moisés Bertoni Foundation), near Lake Ypacaraí and the Salado River.
We will hike the trails in the reserve and have a snack.
We will have lunch at a restaurant in the city of Luque and then head to the Costanera de Asunción to observe the birdlife of the Paraguay River.
After a snack, we will head to our final stop, Guasú Metropolitan Park, where we will take a tour of the park.
Return to the tourist pick-up location and end of our services.
