What Travellers Will See & Do: The 11:00 AM Public Viewing: This is a strictly timed, one-hour window. You’ll stand at the edge of the mud bath as dozens of orphaned baby elephants (from newborns to toddlers) stampede into the arena for their giant milk bottles. Tactile Interaction: If you are at the rope line, these playful giants often come close enough to touch. You’ll feel their coarse, bristly skin and watch them play-fight, roll in the red dust, and blast each other with water. Hear the Rescue Stories: Each elephant has a name and a storey. You’ll listen to the Keepers explain how they were rescued from snares, droughts, or poachers across Kenya. The Foster Programme: You get the chance to "adopt" an orphan on the spot (approx. $50/year), giving you private updates on your elephant’s journey back to the wild.

The "Eye-to-Eye" Kiss: This isn't a zoo. You will stand on a raised wooden observation platform that puts you exactly at eye level with the world’s tallest land mammals. Hand-Feeding: We provide you with specially formulated nutrient pellets. You will experience the sandpaper-like texture of a 12-inch long, blue-grey tongue as the endangered Rothschild Giraffes take food directly from your hand. Conservation in Action: You’ll see the breeding pens where calves are raised before being released back into the wild (like at Ruma National Park). The Nature Trail: If your itinerary allows, we take a 1.5km stroll through the Gogo River Bird Sanctuary on-site to spot rare birds and smaller dik-diks.
