Experience a unique adventure in the heart of the Amazon rainforest with our 3-day Manu programme, ideal for nature and adventure lovers. This trip will take you to explore one of the most biodiverse regions in the world, starting in Cusco and passing through spectacular landscapes, meandering rivers and fascinating wildlife.
Day 1: Cusco - Guadalupe Lodge
We leave Cusco at 6:00 AM, making stops in Oropesa and at the pre-Inca burial sites of Ninamarca. In Paucartambo, we explore its market and plaza, and then enter the Manu Park, where we will see waterfalls, a cloud forest and species such as monkeys, cock-of-the-rock and mountain toucans. We arrive at Guadalupe Lodge in the afternoon and take a night walk in search of reptiles and amphibians.
Day 2: Guadalupe Lodge - Machuhuasi Lagoon
After an early breakfast, we head to Atalaya Port and take a boat on the Alto Madre de Dios River. We walk through the riparian forest and explore the canals of the Machuhuasi Lagoon, looking for aquatic birds, monkeys and caimans. We also visit a wildlife rescue centre before returning to the lodge.
Day 3: Guadalupe Lodge - Cusco
We visit the lodge's garden to learn about medicinal plants, and then return to Cusco, making stops along the way to enjoy the scenery and spot more wildlife. We arrive in Cusco in the afternoon and take you to your hotel.
