DAY 01 IQUITOS / LODGE INC L/D
Arrival in the city of Iquitos, assistance and transfer to the pier to head to the lodge. We will sail down the Amazon River, the largest river in the world by volume, and witness the magnificence of the river, the lush rainforest and the picturesque riverside villages. Arrival and accommodation at the lodge. After lunch, we will hike the Communal Reserve of Yanamono, where we will identify various botanical species such as heliconias, medicinal plants and the giant lupuna tree. At night, we will take a boat ride along Quebrada Manco to discover the mysterious nocturnal world of the rainforest. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Note: arrival flights must arrive before 9am for transport.
DAY 02 QUEBRADA CÁCERES INC B/L/D
Early in the morning, we will have a bird watching tour in the vicinity of Quebrada Cáceres to see various species of local birds, as the tuki, kingfisher, coto hawk, among others. Return to the lodge. We will carry on with a boat ride along the Amazon River in search of pink dolphins. Enjoy fishing using native techniques. In the afternoon, we will go towards the lakes located in the Yanamono Island to watch the stunning “Victorias Regias”.
After dinner, we will go on a night walk through the lodge surroundings to observe and find tarantulas, fireflies and other nocturnal Amazonian species. Overnight at the lodge.
DAY 03 LODGE / IQUITOS INC B/L
We will visit an artisanal mill where we can taste different regional drinks made with sugar cane juice. Lunch at the lodge. At arranged time, transfer to the airport to board your departure flight.
Note: flights must be after 6pm to ensure there is enough time to travel to the airport from the lodge.
