Overview

You will visit the high mountain villages located in the northern region of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is home to a number of ethnic minorities. The villages of Khinalig and Griz are distinguished by their uniqueness and history. They speak their own local languages. You will follow the Greater Caucasus Mountains.

Activity itinerary

Khinalıq, Galakhudat, Griz , Grizdahne are the highest mountain villages of the Guba region, located in the north of Azerbaijan. On the first day of the trek, we will visit the "Khari Bulbul" memorial monument located at an altitude of 2783 metres. Khinalıq and Qalakhudat villages are located at the foot of the Qizilgaya mountain range. In addition, the peaks of Khinalıq Mountain (Qibla Mountain), Tufandag, Shahdag and Gizilgaya are visible from the area. The first day of the trek will cover the section of the old Guba-Khinalıq highway between Khinalıq and Qalakhudat. We will spend the night in a village house in the village of Galakhudat. In the following days, we will go to Griz, using the trails where people used to travel on horses and on foot in ancient times. We will spend the night in a village house. On the 3rd day we will move to the village of Grizdahne ℹ️ For the trip to take place, there had to be 2 people in the group or payment had to be made for 2 people.
