Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

  • Accommodation: Beautiful hotel located in the Maasai Mara reserve; the lodges are surrounded by wildlife. It is a 3 star Hotel.

Maasai Mara National Reserve

Your tour starts with a 7:30 AM pickup from your Nairobi hotel or the airport, followed by a drive to the Maasai Mara. This drive will take about 5 to 6.5 hours with a scenic stopover at the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in the Maasai Mara shortly after noon and check into your lodge/camp, have a hot lunch, and then depart for an afternoon game drive. After the game drive, we head back to the lodge/camp, arriving around 5:30 or 6:00 PM, freshen up, and enjoy a freshly prepared Dinner. Overnight at your lodge. Note: The last 1-hour drive to Maasai Mara is on a corrugated and bumpy road and may not be comfortable for clients with back problems. Clients with back problems can consider flying directly to (and out of) the Maasai Mara.

Day 2: Explore Maasai Mara National Reserve

  • Accommodation: Beautiful hotel located in the Maasai Mara reserve; the lodges are surrounded by wildlife. It is a 3 star Hotel.

Today's itinerary is flexible; you can discuss it with your guide the previous evening and plan today's schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast or depart for full-day game drives around 7:30 AM with a packed lunch, returning to the lodge late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM for an early morning game drive (the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness a hunt/kill). Later, return to the accommodation for breakfast, relax for a bit, and depart on an afternoon game drive with a packed lunch. You will stop at a picnic spot for a packed lunch and later depart on a game drive until the park closes. Around 4:00 PM, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Nairobi

After a relaxed breakfast, head back to Nairobi. Upon arriving in Nairobi in the evening, you will be dropped off at the airport or at your hotel.
