What you can expect

Spend 4 days exploring some of South Africas most scenic national parks on the lookout for the Africas Big 5: Elephants, Rhinos, Lions, Leopards, and Cape Buffalo. The complete all-inclusive safari experience with an expert local guide.

Day 1:
The day starts with pickup from your accommodation in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), before heading out on a full-day safari in the Addo Elephant National Park. Addo is the third-largest national park in South Africa and home to a huge variety of wildlife, including more than 700 elephants, lion, the endangered black rhino, Cape buffalo, leopard, spotted hyena, a variety of antelope and bird species and the unique Addo flightless dung beetle. Overnight accommodation on the edge of the park is included.

Day 2:
After a hearty breakfast the tour heads to the Mountain Zebra National Park, in the semi arid Karoo region of South Africa. Opened as a nature reserve for the endangered Cape Mountain Zebra, today the park has more than 700 species of wildlife including zebra, cheetah, lion, buffalo, eland, kudu, black wildebeest, red hartebeest, blesbok, and gemsbok. In addition, keep an eye out for some rare wildlife such as the aardwolf, bat-eared fox, and caracal. Explore the park on a 2-hour afternoon game drive on arrival. Overnight within the national park.

Day 3:
Get an early start and join a game ranger to track the parks cheetahs on foot. Spend 3 hours exploring the park further and locating these elusive big cats. Next up, the tour heads to Nieu Bethesda, a quirky village in the Great Karoo heartland of South Africa. Situated at the foot of the Sneeuberge Mountains, this little village offers views of vast open plains and majestic mountains. Overnight in the village of Nieu Bethesda.

Day 4:
The day begins with a visit to the legendary “Owl House”, a famous landmark in the village of Nieu Bethesda. Enjoy the quirky sights and sounds of this unique town. Next, head to Camdeboo National Park. A stone's throw from one of the oldest towns in South Africa, Graaff-Reinet, lies the majestic Valley of Desolation. This awe-inspiring valley is the product of the volcanic and erosive forces of nature over a period of 200-million years and its rock columns and never-ending views provide some of the most unique scenery in South Africa. After lunch, the tour returns to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) where the tour ends on arrival.
