Know before you book

  • Bring comfortable hiking shoes, jungle gear, and water
  • Keep hydrating constantly and use sun cream
  • You will have to be vaccinated against Yellow Fever
  • It is important to carry your own lantern or torch. You will walk with it and use it often.
  • On the 4th night you will be in a place with no electric power.
  • Long pants, long sleeve shirt, waterproof clothes and anti-mosquito are recommendable.
  • The Tour Guide will contact you the day before in case you have any questions or assist you with any requirements

Day 1: Leticia, Tabatinga and Maloka

The journey will start at Leticia’s airport. After you pay the tourism tax, you will meet one of our local guide who will pick you up. Once ready, you will visit the Brazilian border of the Amazon: Tabatinga. Afterwards you will enjoy a delicious typical lunch on a floating restaurant. You will visit Leticia and the famous Parque de los loros (Park of parrots). At the end of the day you will try Capirinha a typical Amazonian and Brazilian cocktail. You will spend the night in Leticia.
Day 2: Leticia - Puerto Nariño

Then, on the second day you will visit Puerto Nariño, a beautiful small town with no cars and amazing views. You will make a stop on the Peruvian Amazon to visit an indigenous community. You will also visit a natural reservoir to see the marvellous Victoria Regia, Isla de los Micos and the Tikuna indigenous community. Then, in Puerto Nariño you will head to the hotel. You will be able to decide whether you want to tour around the town or rest the rest of the day.
Day 3: Tarapoto Lake

On this day you will leave to Puerto Nariño to go to San Antonio del Cacao, a Peruvian island. You will go in search of sloths and to explore the flora and fauna and learn from the region and its history. You will go back to Puerto Nariño and you will take another boat to Tarapoto Lake. You will spend the night in a hut in front of the river. Here, you will be able to swim, fish, walk around and enjoy a night firepit. (If chosen, you can have a night safari).
Day 4: Puerto Nariño - Leticia

On the last day you will enjoy the morning in Tarapoto lake and afterwards you will go back to Puerto Nariño and then back to Leticia to finish your trip. Live with us an unforgettable adventure at the Amazon Jungle.
