Day 1: Desert Adventure Begins

Start your journey early from Djerba in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle. Your first stop is Sabkhet el Melh Salt Lake, where you can capture stunning photos of the vibrant landscape. Continue to Chenini, an ancient Berber village known for its troglodyte dwellings carved into the mountainside. Explore its rich history and unique architecture before heading to Ksar Haddada, a historical village and Star Wars filming location. Then, reach Ksar Ghilaine, a desert oasis with natural spring waters. Relax before embarking on an off-road adventure into the Grand Erg Oriental, where you’ll settle into your desert camp for the night under a starry sky, enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day 2: Desert Serenity

Wake up to the calm beauty of the desert and enjoy a peaceful breakfast as the sun rises over the dunes. Spend the morning exploring the vast sands or simply soaking in the tranquility. After lunch at the camp, enjoy free time to wander or relax. In the evening, savour a cosy dinner by the campfire and retreat to your private tent for a restful night.

Day 3: Douz & Camel Trek

After breakfast, head to Douz, the “Gateway to the Desert,” and enjoy a traditional lunch. Then, meet your camel driver and begin a peaceful trek through the Sahara with camels carrying your bags and supplies. Experience the desert at your own pace, surrounded by endless dunes. Arrive at your next bivouac, where you’ll enjoy dinner by the fire before spending the night under the stars.

Day 4: Continued Desert Exploration

Enjoy a serene breakfast and embark on the second day of your trek through the dunes. Stop for lunch with your camel driver before continuing your journey through the desert’s vastness. Take your time to admire the quiet beauty of the Sahara, with plenty of opportunities for photography. As the sun sets, settle into your bivouac for another memorable night in the desert.

Day 5: Tozeur & Oasis Exploration

After breakfast, depart for Tozeur, passing through the Chott El Jerid salt flats. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional lunch before exploring the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza, and Mides, known for their Star Wars filming locations. Experience the dramatic landscapes of palm-filled valleys and rugged canyons. Return to your guesthouse in Tozeur for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Matmata & Star Wars Sites

After breakfast, travel to Ong Jmel, a famous Star Wars location, and then continue to Matmata. Visit the iconic troglodyte homes built into the earth and enjoy lunch. Explore the picturesque village of Toujane with its stunning views and authentic Berber architecture. Finally, return to your accommodation, filled with unforgettable memories of your Sahara adventure.
