You will be picked up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 6:00 AM in a comfortable, private vehicle for the drive to Bahariya Oasis, located approximately 350 kilometres east of Cairo. The journey takes around 4 hours, with convenient stops along the way for bathrooms and refreshments.

Upon arrival at Bahariya Oasis around 10:00 AM, you will switch to a sturdy 4x4 Jeep, ready to tackle the desert terrain. Your first destination is the Black Desert, characterised by its volcanic hills covered in black dolerite stones. Around 12:00 PM, a delicious lunch will be served in the tranquil El Haize Oasis, providing a welcome break amidst the desert scenery.

Continuing your adventure, you will drive to the Valley of Agabat at approximately 1:00 PM. This remarkable valley, nestled deep within the White Desert, will leave you spellbound with its surreal beauty. Millions of years ago, this area was submerged under the sea, and over time, unique rock formations of limestone and chalk have been sculpted by wind and erosion, creating a landscape unlike any other.

By 3:00 PM, you will arrive at the heart of the White Desert National Park, Egypt's most iconic desert destination. Spend the afternoon exploring this breathtaking landscape, marvelling at the towering, snow-white rock formations that resemble giant mushrooms, abstract sculptures, and even animals. As the sun begins to dip towards the horizon around 4:30 PM, your Bedouin support team will set up camp. Enjoy the magical spectacle of the sunset painting the sky in vibrant hues of pink and fiery orange, casting long shadows across the white landscape.

Wake up to the serene beauty of the desert and witness a breathtaking sunrise at approximately 6:00 AM. Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the desert at 7:00 AM before beginning your journey back towards Bahariya Oasis. Around 9:00 AM, en route to the oasis, you will visit Crystal Mountain, a fascinating geological wonder locally known as Gebel al-Izzaz. This "crystal hill" shimmers in the sunlight, formed by dazzling quartzite crystals. Discovered by chance a few decades ago, it is truly a jewel of the desert.

By 11:00 AM, you will arrive at Bahariya Oasis. Take the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate at Bir Sigam, a natural hot spring renowned for its therapeutic properties. Located 7 kilometres east of Bahariya on the Cairo road, its warm waters offer a soothing experience. Summer Alternative: During the hotter months, a refreshing stop will be made at Bir Madi, a cold spring offering a welcome respite from the desert heat.

You will begin your drive to Fayoum oasis

After a delightful breakfast, prepare for an exciting excursion to the Fayoum Oasis, a region rich in natural beauty and ancient history. You will travel in a comfortable 4x4 to Wadi Al-Hitan (Valley of the Whales). Wadi Al-Hitan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005, is an extraordinary open-air museum showcasing the fossilised remains of early whales dating back 45 million years. This area provides invaluable insights into the evolution of whales from land-dwelling mammals to marine giants. Explore the vast desert landscape dotted with remarkably preserved whale skeletons, shark teeth, shells, and fossilised mangrove roots. Visit the Fossil & Climate Change Museum, which houses a diverse collection of whale fossils and skeletons displayed both indoors and outdoors. Learn about the ancient marine environment and the dramatic climate changes that shaped this region.

In the afternoon, you will drive back towards Tunis village, making stops at the enchanting Magic Lake and the picturesque Gebel Al-Mudawara. The Magic Lake: This stunning lake in Wadi El Rayan is renowned for its ever-changing colours, a mesmerising spectacle influenced by the time of day and the amount of sunlight. Surrounded by rolling sand dunes, it offers opportunities for hiking, sandboarding, and even swimming. The lake's mineral content is also believed to have therapeutic benefits for rheumatism. Gebel Al-Mudawara: Located a few kilometres south of the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls, this scenic area, also known as "The Lookout," features three distinctive mountains along the lakeshore, making it a popular spot for picnics and enjoying the natural beauty.

As the day draws to a close, enjoy a relaxing tea time amidst the breathtaking sunset views. You will then drive back to Tunis village before commencing your journey back to Cairo.

Today, you will delve into the rich history and cultural heritage of Old Cairo. Your Egyptologist tour guide will meet you at your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 8:00 AM and accompany you in a private vehicle. Your first stop is the magnificent Saladin Citadel, perched atop the Moqattam Hills. Constructed by Sultan Saladin in 1183 AD as a defensive fortress against Crusader armies, the Citadel offers panoramic views of Cairo's sprawling cityscape and boasts a collection of significant mosques and museums. You will visit the impressive Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, an iconic Ottoman-style mosque with its distinctive alabaster facade and towering minarets.

After lunch, you will explore the historical heart of Old Cairo, also known as the Coptic Quarter. Visit significant religious sites, including the Hanging Church (Al-Muallaqa), one of the oldest and most famous Coptic churches in Egypt, built atop the Roman Babylon Fortress. Your final stop for the day is the vibrant Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest and most fascinating bazaars in the Middle East. Immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere, browse through a myriad of traditional crafts, souvenirs, spices, and perfumes, and experience the lively trading spirit that has characterised this area since the 14th century. Then, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
