What you can expect

Discover one of the oldest and most biodiverse ecosystems in southern Chile by walking along ancient trails surrounded by temperate rainforest, crystal-clear rivers, and ancient larches that have stood for thousands of years in the heart of Northern Patagonia. A landscape that seems frozen in time in one of the most immersive natural experiences in the area.

Guided by Miguel Hechenleitner, a documentary photographer specialising in the landscapes, culture and identity of the southernmost part of Chile, we'll travel along paths where the Carretera Austral begins, surrounded by mountains, rivers and lush vegetation as we enter a landscape marked by humidity, the silence of the forest and an enveloping atmosphere.

Our tour takes place within the Alerce Andino National Park, renowned for protecting some of the oldest larch forests in Chile, with specimens that are over 3,000 years old. Inside the park, you can explore different trails of basic to moderate difficulty that cross Alerce and coihue forests, along rivers, mosses, and century-old trees, exploring one of the best-preserved and most biodiverse natural environments in the country.

Ideal for those who enjoy nature, trekking, and photography, and who want to get to know southern Chile from a closer and more leisurely perspective. Throughout the hike, there will be time for contemplation, exploration, and photography, with the route being adapted to the conditions of the day and the pace of the group. The private format allows for a flexible experience that's connected to the environment, letting you discover some of the best-preserved landscapes and ecosystems in the Lake District in a visually immersive experience.
