A Cordano Family Winery (Capilla Warehouse) is an establishment founded as a supermarket in 1855 by one of the first Italian immigrants to arrive in the region.
Upon arriving in Carmelo, the small town with the warmth of its people will dazzle us, and as we continue towards the rural area, we will enter the vineyard area to find a historic colonial house with its large muscat grape vines and beautiful bougainvilleas on entrance
We will discover the history of this family with a winemaking tradition, directly related to the maternal family of one of the most famous former presidents of Uruguay: José Mujica Cordano.
In the shade of the vines and among ancestral elements steeped in history, you can taste 4 varieties of wines and savour delicious dishes of Uruguayan cuisine, based on products made by local rural producers.
We will explore the flavour of cold typical and artisanal cheeses, local green olives, homemade preserves and various breads.
Treasure unforgettable moments in a unique environment, with beautiful landscapes, exploring the history that makes up the identity of the region and let yourself be enchanted by the warmth of the best hosts.
An experience worth living!
