Explore some of Jordan's most spectacular sites on a 2-day, private tour from Amman.
Day 1: Amman - Dead Sea - Petra
Depart from Amman and drive to the Dead Sea, renowned for the biblical tale of Sodom and Gomorrah. Situated 400 metres below sea level, the Dead Sea ranks among Jordan's most breathtaking locations. Admire the serene waters shimmering under the blazing sun. Known for its remarkable concentration of salt and minerals, the Dead Sea offers therapeutic benefits and a distinctive swimming experience.
Next, head south to Petra. Established by the Nabateans, Petra is recognised as one of the world's wonders. Located 139 miles (225 kilometres) from Amman, Petra was hewn from stone over 2,000 years ago.
It controlled the trade routes of ancient Arabia. Once you arrive, traverse the narrow path of the Siq to unveil the city's main entrance.
At the Siq's end, you'll encounter the Treasury (al-Khazneh), famed for its legendary treasures. Proceed to the Monastery and the Altar of Sacrifice. In the afternoon, travel to Wadi Rum, where you'll spend the night in a Bedouin camp, enjoying dinner and evening activities. (Accommodation is optional)
Day 2: Wadi Rum - Amman
In the morning, explore Wadi Rum in a 4x4 jeep. Known as the “Valley of the Moon,” Wadi Rum is famous for being the filming location of the iconic film “Lawrence of Arabia.” Take in the breathtaking views of the mountains as they ascend from the rose-red desert sands, showcasing cliffs in stunning shades of brown, red, and gold.
After your 4x4 adventure in Wadi Rum, you have the option to stroll around the desert before heading back to your hotel in Amman.
