The ancient theatre of Arles was built at the end of the 1st century BC. BC, during the reign of Emperor Augustus, just after the founding of the Roman colony. Started around 40/30 BC. BC, it was completed around the year 12 BC. BC thus becoming one of the first stone theatres[1] in the Roman world.

The Saint-Paul-de-Mausole monastery is a Provencal Romanesque style monastery from the 11th century located in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in Provence in the French department of Bouches-du-Rhône in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. [1]. A masterpiece of Provencal Romanesque art dedicated to Saint Paul de Mausole, it has been classified as a historic monument since 1883[2] and is famous for having hosted and inspired the Dutch post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) who stayed there for a year in 1889-1890 to paint a major part of his work.
