What you can expect
Armenia is one of the oldest wine producing regions in the world and its wines are known for their rich and unique flavours. A four-day wine tour in Armenia is an excellent opportunity for travellers to taste some of the most famous Armenian wines and learn more about the history and culture of wine in this country.
As part of this tour, we plan to visit the main wine-growing regions of Armenia: Vayots Dzor region, Yerevan, Kotayk region and Armavir region.Day 1. Arrival in Yerevan
Transfer to the hotel.
Visit to the Erebuni fortress which was founded in 782 BC.
Visit to the Cascade of the Opera Theatre and Republic Square.
Visit to the Noy Cognac Factory.
Lunch at the restaurant, after lunch the tour ends and you will be taken to the hotel.
Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2. Yerevan - Etchmiadzin - Sardarapat - Yerevan
A trip to the ancient capital and spiritual centre of Armenia, Etchmiadzin.
Visit to the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, visit to the Church of St. Hripsime.
Trip to the Armas winery.
The ArmAs plantation is an eloquent demonstration of agricultural achievements, with the biblical Mount Ararat towering behind it.
Wine tasting at a winery.
Return to Yerevan.
Day 3. Yerevan – Geghard – Garni – Yerevan
A trip to the Gevorkian Winery.
A wine tour of Gevorkian Winery is an immersion in history in its modern manifestation. High quality and tradition always remain a priority for the winery.
After the tasting, we will go to the pagan sun temple of Garni (1st century AD).
Next we will have lunch at the restaurant (master class on lavash in a tondoor).
Trip to the Geghard cave monastery (Spear monastery, XII-XIII centuries).
Inspection of the Geghard monastery.
Return to Yerevan.
Dinner. Overnight at the hotel
Day 4. Yerevan - Khor Virap - Areni - Noravank - Yerevan
Trip to the Khor Virap monastery.
Visit to the monastery.
Trip to Noravank Monastery.
Visit to the monastery.
A trip to the Bird Cave - the oldest winery in the world.
Trip to Old Bridge Winery, wine tasting at the winery and lunch.
Return to Yerevan.
