What you can expect

Step into Asakusa—just minutes from Tokyo Skytree, Senso-ji Temple, Kaminarimon Gate, and Ryogoku Kokugikan. Experience Tokyo's most fun, sushi making class where hands-on cooking meets Japanese celebration.

Perfect for families, couples, and groups of all ages. Kids can safely join every step, and the hands-on format means everyone participates together—no one's just watching. From the “Yoisho!” cheer to shaping your own nigiri, it's the kind of experience that turns into photos, stories, and memories. And the best part? You eat everything you make.

We start with Kagami-biraki, a traditional sake barrel-opening that symbolises new beginnings. Together we count down, chant “Yoisho, Yoisho, Yoisho!”, and share a celebratory toast with a small pour of sake.
*If you don’t drink alcohol, we’ll happily provide water or warm Japanese tea instead—everyone can join the moment.

Next, you’ll learn the core techniques of Edomae-style nigiri with friendly, expert guidance: how to shape rice with the right pressure, handle toppings, and place fish cleanly and confidently. You’ll make 6–10 pieces step-by-step, with hands-on coaching throughout—easy for beginners, genuinely satisfying for food lovers.

To finish, we keep it simple and relaxing: you’ll whisk a bowl of matcha and enjoy it as the final sip—a calm, satisfying way to wrap up after the cheers and sushi-making.

If you have any allergies or cannot eat raw fish/wasabi, please let us know in advance so we can guide you smoothly.

Conveniently located within walking distance of Sumida Park and the Sumida River, one of Tokyo's most iconic hanami destinations. Experience cherry blossom season like a local!
