What you can expect

  • Following an 8am pickup from your hotel, cruise port, or meeting point near Queen's Wharf, meet your guide and travel along the beautiful Auckland waterfront to begin your 5-hour tour.

    Enjoy short hikes to the summits of four of Auckland's volcanoes (all inactive) — Mt. Eden, Mangere Mountain, Mt. Wellington, and One Tree Hill — and admire spectacular views of Auckland city and its harbours from vantage points around the craters.

    Along the way, learn about native plants and animals. Listen as your guide sheds light on Auckland's rich volcanic geology and Maori history. Enjoy a stop for a coffee and classic New Zealand meat pie or other snack from a local bakery (own cost).

    At approximately 1pm, return to your starting point in the city centre where your tour will come to an end. There is also the option to be dropped off at Auckland Museum or Auckland waterfront.
