Starting at the stunning Hospital Sant Pau, the world’s largest Art Nouveau site, you will see how architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner gave as much importance to aesthetics as functionality. Indeed, he firmly believed in the healing power of nature-inspired art and beauty, an approach found in Sant Pau’s every detail. The concept of a “beautiful hospital” is unique and thought-provoking by definition, but was even more spectacular in the context of industrial Barcelona.
