Just like on the half-day tour, you'll be equipped with professional rafting gear at the Outdoor Centre Baumgarten. Together, we’ll take the bus to the entry point. Upon arrival, your rafting guide will provide a detailed briefing on commands, paddling techniques, and boat safety. After practising paddle commands briefly on the river, the adventure begins with a bumpy descent down the first rapid section, past large rocks. Shortly afterwards, you’ll face the infamous cataract, the “Auer Loch,” demanding a burst of paddling power and delivering an adrenaline rush!
The rafting tour continues past action-packed sections like the “Prallwand,” the “Schwallstück,” the “Washing Machine,” the “Corkscrew,” and the “Grenzschwall,” where we cross back into Bavaria. Along the way, many more exciting features await.
In the upper section, we’ll stop at the mouth of the Innersbach Gorge. This breathtaking canyon is a must-see. At the entrance to the narrow, dark rocky gorge, you can leap into a deep rock pool filled with crystal-clear wild water flowing from the canyon.
The journey continues for 2 kilometres along the border. On the left, you’ll see the Kingdom of Bavaria, and on the right, the stunning Salzburg region of Austria. The tour concludes after 24 kilometres at our Outdoor Centre Baumgarten, just before the Saalach Lake in Bavaria.
