Begin your adventure at Beigou village with a 45-minute hike uphill to reach the paragliding takeoff point. Alternatively, pay an additional RMB 100 to take a local quad bike for the first section, followed by a short 15-minute hike to the launch site.
Take off and search for thermal updrafts with your pilot, allowing you to circle and gain altitude. From above, enjoy breathtaking views of the winding Great Wall, including the Mutianyu section, the Jiankou section, as well as other wild and unrestored parts of the Wall. And the videos and photos by Gopro throughout the flying are also included in this activity.
After approximately 30 minutes of flight, land in Tianxianyu Village, also located near the Mutianyu Great Wall. Both the starting and landing villages are about a 5-minute drive from the scenic area.
Enjoy complimentary pickup and drop-off at the entrance of the Mutianyu Great Wall. Whether you prefer to fly first and then hike the Wall, or explore the Wall before your flight, both options are very convenient.
Due to the fact that paragliding is highly dependant on weather conditions, we are only able to confirm whether the activity can take place at least one day in advance.
Because instructor scheduling depends on guest numbers, the number of pilots available is usually around half the number of participants. For example, if your booking is for 4 guests, we may arrange 2 pilots, and the flights would be carried out in two rounds. In that case, the second group may need to wait for around 40 minutes. However, if there are other guests joining on the same day, this waiting time may not apply.
