An evening at HALLE Tanzbühne Berlin offers an intimate encounter with Berlin’s vibrant independent performing arts scene. Home to the acclaimed cie. toula limnaios, one of Germany’s leading contemporary dance ensembles, the theatre is located in a listed 19th-century building in Prenzlauer Berg. For nearly three decades, choreographer Toula Limnaios and composer Ralf R. Ollertz have developed a distinctive artistic language celebrated for its visual power, emotional depth and poetic intensity.

The repertoire ranges from intimate duets to large ensemble works. Choreography and original music interact as equal artistic forces, creating performances marked by striking imagery, emotional resonance and physical intensity. With the audience seated close to the stage, every movement, breath and sound becomes tangible.

HALLE Tanzbühne Berlin also regularly presents guest performances by international companies, offering diverse perspectives on contemporary dance beyond the mainstream.

Most performances last around one hour without intermission. Before and after the show, guests can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the theatre bar, open indoors and in the courtyard.
