Best of the Sahara – Full-Day Tour (Approx. 11 Hours)

Departure around 6:30 a.m. – Heading for the desert
Early-morning departure from your hotel in Djerba. You will cross the Roman causeway, the historic link between the island and the mainland, before reaching the arid landscapes of southern Tunisia, with their desert plains and Berber villages.
Ksar Hadada – Tataouine
Located in the Tataouine region, Ksar Hadada is an ancient Berber communal granary made up of stacked ghorfas (storage chambers), which were once used to store crops.
This authentic site is also famous for having served as a set for the film Star Wars. A fascinating immersion in Berber architecture and history.
Panoramic stop in Guermessa
Photo stop in the Berber village of Guermessa, perched high up. You’ll enjoy spectacular views of the rocky hills and the vast surrounding desert.
Ksar Ghilane Oasis
Arrival at Ksar Ghilane, one of the most beautiful oases in the Tunisian Sahara.
A unique setting combining fine sand dunes, palm trees, and a natural hot spring, perfect for relaxing and swimming in the heart of the desert.

Guellala: Visit to a traditional pottery factory and exploration of local craftsmanship
✡️ El Ghriba Synagogue, the oldest in North Africa
(Internal tour not available on Saturdays)
Djerbahood: A village transformed into an open-air museum featuring murals created by artists from around the world
️ Houmt Souk: Free time in the souks (market days: Monday and Thursday mornings)
