Our little Wegebahn train takes you leisurely through one of the most beautiful regions of Usedom, the Achterland with its small, almost original villages, the adjacent Achterwasser, and its diverse nature.
We'll leave the seaside resorts and head towards Benz. Here we'll visit an early Gothic church from the early 13th century, with a coffered ceiling designed with a starry sky. Immerse yourself in the silence of the untouched landscape. The path leads us to Neppermin. Many houses have thatched roofs or stand on rock bases – a feast for the eyes.
We'll drive along the Achterwasser, through the towns of Balm and Dewichow, and on to Morgenitz. Then the outing takes us to the port of Rankwitz. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the Peenestrom.
At the “Alte Fischräucherei” restaurant, you'll find a wide range of oven-fresh smoked fish, as well as fried and cooked fish specialities. Well fortified, you'll head to the Mellenthin Water Castle with the option of having a coffee or visiting the castle grounds.
Then it's back to the Kaiserbäder.
