What you can expect

  • Spend half a day with us discovering the culture and authentic life of Boa Vista.
On this tour, we want to show you the real life of the locals, the other side that tourism does not reach.
Our first stop will be a visit to the goat farm to see how goat farming works – an activity that sustains families in the villages and, before tourism, was essential for the survival of the people of Boa Vista.
We will then head east to the greenest part of the island, where vegetables are grown despite water scarcity.
Later, we will pass through the colourful villages and visit the largest lighthouse on the island of Morro Negro, where you will be rewarded with a unique view over the east coast.
The walk up takes about 12 minutes.
Next, we'll head to Porto Ferreira Beach (Shell Beach), where you'll receive a free souvenir.
We will then return to the village to taste the goat cheese made by the shepherd and the watermelons harvested by the farmer.
This is how we get to know the island's specialities and support the local people by providing them with an income through this activity.
To finish, we will head back to Route 66 and make a quick photo stop there.
