What you can expect

A boat tour to discover the main techniques of aquaculture in Chioggia! Discover how mussels are bred, what are the steps to taste the famous “Moeche” and how the wonderful oysters of Ca’ Roman are obtained.

On this tour I will take you to see the mussel farms and explain what are the steps that local fishermen follow to get a great product!

We will discover together how crabs are collected and how expert eyes can divide the “boni” (good) from the “mati” (bad) and then get the “moeche” the soft crabs at the change of the moult that are considered the nuggets of Venice!

Another delight of the Venetian Lagoon are the Oysters bred at Ca’ Roman, you will have the opportunity to understand how they grow and why not, make a taste accompanied by an excellent glass of white wine all immersed in the beauty of the Lagoon of Chioggia!
