What you can expect

First stop The Royal Dream
In 1866, Prince (later King) Carol I fell in love with the wild mountain scenery of Sinaia.
He purchased the land to build a summer retreat that would symbolise the birth of modern Romania
To bring his vision to life, Carol I hired over 400 craftsmen from all over the world.
Queen Elisabeth famously described it as a “joyful mix” where Italians did the masonry, Germans and Hungarians the woodwork, and Turks burned the bricks—all while 14 different languages were spoken on site.
Situated in the Carpathian Mountains, approximately 80 miles (124 km) north of Bucharest.
For your visit to Peleș Castle in 2026, keep in mind that the castle is generally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
To ensure entry, it is highly recommended to book or your guide to book the tickets in advance, as visitor capacity is limited to 2,000 people per day.
The drive via DN1/E60 takes about 2 hours, though weekend traffic can significantly increase this time.
Pelisor Castle: Located just 240 metres away, this smaller Art Nouveau castle was the actual residence of the royal family and is worth a combined visit
The most striking visit was that of Emperor Franz-Joseph, in 1896.
Peles Castle was the royal summer residence until 1947, and today it is a museum with collections of paintings, sculptures, armour, carpets, furniture, tapestries, and other valuable objects.

2nd Stop :

The “Wednesday castle” is Cantacuzino Castle (Castelul Cantacuzino) in Bușteni, Romania, which served as the exterior for Nevermore Academy in the first season of the Netflix series Wednesday

3rd Stop :
Bran Castle, located in the Transylvania region of Romania, is a 14th-century medieval fortress famously known as “Dracula's Castle” due to its striking resemblance to the castle described in Bram Stoker's novel. While its connection to the historical figure Vlad the Impaler is minimal, it remains one of Romania's most iconic landmarks, serving as a former royal residence for Queen Marie and now a popular private museum
