This fantastic experience begins with hotel pickups. Once you arrive at Estancia Huyliche, our base of operations, you'll get acquainted with the magnificent UForce 1000 4x4 UTVs. After getting used to these vehicles at the base, we'll start the ascent to Cerro Huyliche along the Arroyo Calafate gorge up to Los Balcones, with the most beautiful views of Lake Argentino, the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, and the Andes Mountain Range, including Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.
The tour is conducted in tandem, led by one of our guides. Driving speeds are relatively low, as this is an adventure and nature activity, not a sport, and certainly not a competitive one. The goal is to have a great time and experience 4x4 driving on authentic steppe and mountain roads.
Once we reach the Upper Balcony (1,100 metres), we'll begin the descent down the southern face of Cerro Huyliche towards the Cañadón del Arroyo Moyano, where we'll access the Labyrinth of Stones, a fascinating rock formation shaped by wind erosion over thousands of years. Here, we'll find marine fossils, various unique rocks and stones, and fantastic caves formed by erosion – an ideal spot for unforgettable photos. There, we'll enjoy a hot soup, a snack, and a refreshment before continuing our descent between Cerro Huyliche and Cerro Calafate.
Upon arriving at Estancia Huyliche, after 2 hours of an exhilarating journey, we'll savour authentic Patagonian cuisine prepared by our chefs in the old workers' house. We'll also have the chance to visit the corrals and the old shearing shed of this genuine Patagonian Estancia. After 3 hours of pure adventure, we'll take you back to your hotels.
