What you can expect

Begin your adventure with a warm welcome from your host, Ivan, at Finca San José in Calarcá. Settle in and enjoy a technical briefing about the expedition before relaxing for the evening.

On the second day, start your bike ride from Finca San José, stopping at Quebrada Negra for a hydration break. Cycle through lush plantations and ascend to La Virginia for panoramic views of Armenia and Calarcá. Enjoy a traditional lunch offered by the community before returning to Finca San José for a coffee tasting.

On the third day, begin with a coffee at San José before crossing the old national road to reach the Mirador Casa Azul after a challenging ascent. Arrive in Salento for lunch, then transfer by vehicle to the Cocora Valley for a short trek through the wax palm forest.

On the final day, transfer to the starting point in Río Verde. Ascend by bike to Córdoba, known for its guadua crafts, and climb to the mountain prize “Alto de Carniceros.” Visit Pijao and its unique cafes before a final ascent to Buenavista. Enjoy a final lunch in Barcelona before returning to your hotel.
