CAO BANG CITY - PHJA OAC NATIONAL PARK - KOLIA TEA HILL - THANH CONG BAMBOO FOREST - PHAN THANH GRASS HILLS - CAO BANG CITY (~180km)
7:30AM: Our guide will pick you up in front of your staying to have breakfast & coffee
8:15AM-10:00AM: Begin your adventure with an ascent to the Phja Oac - Phja Den National Park. Rising over 1,931 metres above sea level, Phja Oac is often referred to as the “Rooftop of Cao Bang.” As your vehicle winds up the steep, serpent-like roads, feel the temperature drop and the air grow crisp and thin.

11:00AM: No trip to Nguyen Binh would be complete without a visit to the Kolia Tea Hill. Located at an altitude of over 1,300 metres, this organic tea plantation is a green jewel in the heart of the Phja Den area. At Kolia, you can learn about the intricate process of tea cultivation and harvesting. You might even see local Dao women in their colourful traditional costumes skilfully picking the young, tender tea buds.

12:00PM: Having lunch at a local restaurant (usually authentic local specialities and home-style meals.)

1:00PM: The journey leads you to Thanh Cong Bamboo Forest. The towering green bamboo and the peaceful atmosphere will make you feel as if you've entered another world, both serene and beautiful. The Thanh Cong Bamboo Forest is more than just a photo opportunity. It is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature.

2:00PM: As you continue your journey, the scenery shifts from dense forests to wide-open vistas. Welcome to the Phan Thanh Grass Hills, often dubbed the “Mongolian Steppe” or “Little Switzerland” of Cao Bang. This area is a favourite for local nomadic herders, and you will often see herds of cattle or horses grazing peacefully against the backdrop of distant blue mountains. Phan Thanh offers soft, rolling landscapes that invite you to run, play, or simply lie down and watch the clouds drift by.

3:00PM: Head back to Cao Bang City.

5:00PM: Arrival in Cao Bang City and End of Journey
