Set sail at 9:00 AM aboard the Quetzal, a spacious and comfortable sailing catamaran, for a full-day sea excursion to the beautiful Catalina Island in the Dominican Republic.
After about an hour of scenic navigation along the Caribbean coast, you’ll reach the famous island of Catalina around 10:00 AM. Your first snorkelling stop will be at “The Wall”, one of the best snorkelling spots in the Dominican Republic, where you’ll admire a spectacular underwater world of colourful corals and tropical fish for about 30 minutes.
We’ll then cruise to the other side of Catalina Island to explore “The Aquarium”, a shallow and vibrant reef perfect for another snorkelling session lasting around 45 minutes.
Back on board, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch served on the catamaran, as you relax in the shade or sunbathe on deck.
After lunch, you’ll have free time (about 30 to 45 minutes) to choose your favourite way to unwind: snorkel again, jump from the boat, or swim to the pristine beach of Catalina for a peaceful moment in paradise.
Around 2:30 PM, we set sail along the stunning coast of Casa de Campo, with commentary from our national guide about the area’s history and celebrity villas.
To end the day, enjoy a peaceful cruise up the Chavón River, surrounded by lush tropical landscapes, jungle cliffs, and the serene beauty of Dominican nature — a perfect contrast to the open sea.
We return to Bayahibe around 5:00 PM, after a relaxing and enriching day of sailing, snorkelling, and discovery.
