Drunk History & Haunt Jaunt is a haunted history pub crawl for curious people. This tour ranges from 2 hours and 15 minutes to 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Hosted by History, Haunts, & Hahas!, a small, local, mom-owned business, this experience blends Charleston's haunted history, hidden history, folklore, architecture, nightlife, Ghost Forensics, Ethical Storytelling, and Comic Relief into one highly interactive walking adventure.
Rather than simply repeating ghost stories or moving from drink to drink, we explore the real people, events, and historical circumstances that gave rise to Charleston's legends and reported hauntings. You'll learn how investigators evaluate paranormal claims, distinguish documented history from folklore, and recognise common misidentifications such as pareidolia, reflections, lens flares, and photographic artefacts.
Along the way, learn how to really see Charleston. Hidden clues are everywhere: architectural changes, forgotten spaces, unusual details, and historical breadcrumbs that many visitors pass without noticing. We don't just ask what allegedly haunts a location—we explore why the storey exists and what it reveals about the human behind the haunting.
This experience includes three designated bar stops with opportunities to independently purchase alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. Alcohol is never included in the ticket price.
Small groups and adaptable conversations allow guides to meet guests where they are. Questions, discussion, curiosity, and historical rabbit holes are encouraged, making every tour a little different.
Stories are shared from public spaces outside landmarks, historic buildings, churches, graveyards, and other sites. Admission to sites is not included.
Routes and bar stops may vary based on guest interests, accessibility needs, venue availability, weather, crowd conditions, special events, and the occasional irresistible Charleston rabbit hole. The start and end points remain fixed, but the journey itself is flexible.
A limited number of EMF readers may be available for hands-on discussion and educational exploration. Ghost activity and equipment responses can never be guaranteed.
Guests must be 21+ and bring a valid government-issued photo ID if they wish to consume alcohol. Some venues may occasionally enforce age restrictions higher than 21. If anyone in your party is under 23, please note this during booking so adjustments can be considered when possible.
