What you can expect

  • Escape the city for a full-day adventure combining trekking and traditional bamboo rafting in the beautiful Mae Wang area of Chiang Mai.

This full-day experience lasts approximately 11 hours, including hotel transfers, transport, trekking, lunch, bamboo rafting, and rest stops.

Your day begins with hotel pickup between 7:00–7:30 AM.

After approximately 40 minutes of driving south of Chiang Mai, we'll stop briefly at a local market where you can purchase snacks, drinks, or any personal items before continuing into the mountains.

Following another 30-minute drive, your trekking adventure begins.

Enjoy approximately 4 hours of guided trekking through lush forests, scenic farmland, streams, and peaceful mountain landscapes. Along the way, your local Pgakenyaw guide will introduce you to native plants, local wildlife, and the natural environment while sharing insights into the region and its traditional way of life. You'll also pass through a traditional Pgakenyaw village along the trekking route.

Continue to a beautiful natural waterfall, where you'll enjoy a freshly prepared Thai lunch. Take time to relax, swim, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before continuing your adventure.

In the afternoon, head to the Mae Wang River for a traditional bamboo rafting experience. Float gently downstream on a handmade bamboo raft while surrounded by forests and mountain scenery. This relaxing activity offers a unique perspective of Chiang Mai's beautiful natural landscape.

After an unforgettable day exploring the forests and rivers of southern Chiang Mai, return to Chiang Mai and arrive at your accommodation at approximately 6:00–6:30 PM.
