Learn the art of screen printing while you transform a t-shirt you already own into one-of-a-kind wearable art! In this screen printing class in Chicago, you will learn screen printing basics and leave with a unique, upcycled tee ready to show off! This screen printing workshop is perfect for beginners and requires no prior experience or skills. We'll provide 30+ screens featuring bold and playful designs that you can mix, match, and layer. We'll demonstrate and coach you in the ink-pulling process to create beautiful image transfers onto your shirt. Please note: We'll talk about how to "burn" a screen if guests are curious, but we won't do those steps in this workshop. Most people finish 1 or 2 shirts during the workshop. Guests can bring t-shirts, tank tops, onesies, or sweatshirts in any colour. Please bring shirts you already own or shop your favourite resale store. We also have a small selection of secondhand t-shirts you can purchase on the spot for $10. This class is a fantastic way to get an intro into screen printing, whether you're looking for a new hobby or simply want to spend an afternoon being creative!
