During this tour to Chioggia you will discover this small maritime city of ancient origins, full of canals, bridges, streets and pastel coloured houses with typical green balconies. It will remind you of Venice, but you won’t find crowds of tourists nor gondolas. The black silhouettes of the venetian gondolas are here replaced by hand-painted bragozzi, typical fishing boats of the Upper Adriatic sea characterised by a flat keel, which was useful to reach all corners of the lagoon, where sea level is also very low.
