Your guide, Carmen, will meet you at the Cholula Train Station. The first stop on the walking tour is the Iglesia de los Remedios, the famous church built on top of the pyramid and one of Cholula's most important and iconic buildings. You will enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Cholula, Puebla, and the volcanos from the church courtyard.
From there you will walk around the ancient centre where you will learn all about the largest pyramid in the world and what life was like in Prehispanic Cholula. As you walk you will observe some of the ancient ruins.
The next stop is the local cemetery where you will get to see some of the modern traditions in Cholula and learn about the present society and culture.
Then you will walk by the Prehispanic ceremonial centre with several pyramids and ruins. Your will understand how these great temples were built and experience the grandeur of this amazing religious centre.
Finally, the last stop on the tour is the San Gabriel Complex, the oldest Spanish building in the city. The complex is made up of three early 16th century structures built directly on top of ancient ruins.
The walking tour ends at the Zocalo of San Pedro Cholula. You will be dropped off at the main square where there are cafes and restaurants.
