Overview

Get into the tuk-tuk at your hotel to begin the tour. Head to the Old Parliament, a colonial building that faces the sea. Also, explore some of the affluent residential areas. See the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, which was a gift from the People's Republic of China.

In 1877 the Coastal Railway Line was created and that is when the first station was opened. At the time, the Central Terminus was in a place near Maradana, The location can still be seen as it is now serving as the Sri Lanka Railway Museum.
