Pick up at 1630hrs from hotel in Cochin (city centre) to the residence of one of the Anglo Indian family living in Cochin with over 25 years of experience serving wholesome food to their guests with top quality service and hospitality.
On arrival, family greets you warmly with welcome drink and snacks. They will make you feel at home and have discussions on various cultures and other social activities, cooking demo, photography.
The uniqueness is that they prepare food by ourselves, albeit in a traditional way as they do cooking for their own family members. According to Indian ethos guests are considered as gods “Athithi Devo Bhava” a Sanskrit verse meaning “the guest is equivalent to God”.
Though Kerala food is traditionally vegetarian, because of the interaction with different settlers and their cuisines became a part of Kerala. The cuisine of the Portuguese like Vindaloo, Grilled Sardines, Kerala fish curry, Crumb Chops, Ball Curry, Coconut Rice are all have the origin to the Portuguese.
You will learn to cook various Indian and Kerela delicacies which are cooked and served. Fusion cooking is done for the guest. Menu for dinner will be mix of veg and non-vegetarian items with two Indian breads.
After having sumptuous dinner and spending quality time with the family around 2030hrs (0830pm) leave the venue and driver will transfer you back at the hotel in Cochin.
