Begin with a pickup from your hotel in Lombok by female guide and head to Lendang Tengari Village in Central Lombok. Arrive at a local's house and attend a cooking class in the kitchen. Learn how to prepare typical Lombok dishes, including perkedel (fried corn fritters), vegetable curry, gado-gado, tofu and tempeh, urap timun (cucumber salad), sayur bening (clear vegetable soup), and sambal tomat (tomato chilli sauce).
After the food is ready, enjoy your cooked lunch with white rice, eating in the traditional way, sitting cross-legged on the floor. After lunch, take a walk around the village, accompanied by a local guide & our female guide, to observe and experience the villagers' activities in the rice fields, such as hoeing, planting, and harvesting rice, and farmers cultivating peanuts, corn, or soya beans (depending on the season).
While in the rice fields, participate in hands-on rice planting and harvesting.
Afterwards, visit Benang Kelambu Waterfall, which is a 30-minute drive from the local's house. Walk 30 minutes from the gate to the waterfall. While at the waterfall, take photos and videos, and swimming in the waterfall to refresh your day.
After visiting the waterfall, visit the special woman community village to learn the lombok arts by weaving and then return to your hotel in Lombok.
