Hi! I’m Tim, your friendly English guide from Bristol. I’ve lived in Barcelona since 2017, and I love taking people away from the busy city to experience the beautiful Costa Brava.
I believe in quality over quantity, so from 2027 every tour will be personally led by me and limited to a maximum of eight guests. No enormous groups, no mystery substitute guide—just us, a Mercedes Vito and a day of adventure!
We’ll meet near Arc de Triomf in Barcelona before driving to the coast in my air-conditioned van. Once there, we’ll get changed, store our belongings securely and prepare for approximately three hours of guided kayaking and snorkelling.
After a short safety briefing, we’ll explore crystal-clear water, rocky coves, cliffs and sea caves that are difficult—or impossible—to reach from land. I’ll share stories about the area, point out wildlife and try to keep everyone entertained along the way.
No previous kayaking experience is required. The pace depends on the group, but it is generally relaxed and beginner-friendly, with plenty of stops to rest, swim, snorkel and enjoy the scenery. There’s usually a cheeky kayak race too. If you already have experience and want to step on the gas occasionally, don’t worry—I’ve got that covered!
There will be opportunities to snorkel and try a couple of optional cliff jumps. Nobody will ever be pressured into doing something they don’t want to do, but it's super fun to get out of your comfort zone a little, and make some cool videos along the way!
We’ll stop on the rocks for a proper Spanish-style sandwich picnic beside the sea. Meat and vegetarian options are available, and you can choose yours when completing the online check-in. Please let me know about any allergies or dietary requirements.
After kayaking, you’ll have approximately 1.5–2 hours of free time. Relax on the beach, swim, explore the coastal paths or join me for a well-earned coffee or drink.
All your essential equipment is included: kayak, paddle, life jacket, snorkelling equipment and a wetsuit when needed. There are also large changing rooms and secure storage for your belongings.
You don’t need kayaking experience, but you must be able to swim and feel reasonably comfortable in the sea. The minimum age is seven, and children aged 7–15 must be accompanied by an adult. The exact route, caves, snorkelling stops and cliff jumps will always depend on the sea conditions.
I’ll take photos throughout the adventure with my GoPro, so you can enjoy yourself without constantly reaching for your phone. Afterwards, I’ll email you a private link to download the original full-quality photographs for free.
The complete day lasts approximately eight hours, including return transport from Barcelona, three hours on the water, lunch and your free time beside the sea.
At around 5pm, I’ll gently throw you out of the van again near Arc de Triomf—probably tired, slightly salty and hopefully very happy.
Looking forward to seeing you on the water!
Tim :)
