Our adventure kicks off when we pick you up from your accommodation and the journey begins. During our transfer, we'll be on the Pan-American Highway and travel along the famous Avenue of the Volcanoes.
We'll have a technical stop so you can buy a coca tea, check out Ecuadorian handicrafts, and the famous Andean ponchos.
After that, we'll head into Cotopaxi National Park, where you'll have the amazing opportunity to take photos of the flora and fauna of this magical place. Then we'll start the hike to the “José Rivas” refuge, located at 4,864 metres above sea level, where we'll go at a steady pace, enjoying every view and listening to how the wind seems to whisper the history of the Andes.
Next, we'll head to the Limpiopungo Lagoon, a site that's like a mirror reflecting the soul of Cotopaxi. We'll take a moment to breathe deeply, and if we're lucky, we'll see the condor fly over us.
And almost to finish, the best part of the tour will come: lunchtime, where we'll recharge our batteries and enjoy the magnificent Ecuadorian cuisine.
On the way back, you can close your eyes and remember what you've experienced. And if you ask… yes, Cotopaxi will also remember that you were here.
